Privacy policy

What we collect

When you buy tickets: your full name, email address, mobile phone number, the language you used, and the order details (event, tickets, amount paid, order status and the time your tickets were scanned at the door). We do not ask for or store ID numbers.

When an organizer logs in: name, email and password (stored only as a secure hash).

Technical data: server logs with IP address and browser type, kept briefly for security.

Payment card data

Card payments are processed by our payment processor (Stripe). Your card number, expiry date and security code are entered on the processor's secure page and are never sent to or stored by Kartickets. We receive only a confirmation that the payment succeeded and a reference number that we use for refunds.

How we use it

To deliver your tickets (by email and SMS), to admit you at the door, to process refunds, to give the organizer the attendee list for their event, to prevent fraud, and to help you when you contact us. We do not send marketing messages and we do not sell your data.

Who sees it

The organizer of the event you bought tickets for sees your name, contact details and order — for that event only. Service providers acting on our behalf: the payment processor, our email and SMS providers, and our hosting and database providers. Authorities, when the law requires it.

Cookies

We use only cookies that the site needs to work: your language choice, the organizer login session and the door-scanner session. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.

How long we keep it

Order data is kept for as long as it is needed for refunds, accounting and resolving disputes, and is then deleted or anonymised. Server logs are kept for a short period.

Your rights

You can ask us what data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it (we may need to keep some records for accounting and legal reasons). Write to support@kartickets.com.
